How to Hide, Rename and Remove the Recycle Bin from Desktop & everywhere by Raj the Hacker

To Hide Recycle Bin- Open any folder or My Computer-Tools menu-Folder options-View tab.

Unselect the box that says show Recycle bin on the desktop

To Rename Recycle Bin- go to start-Run- then type “regedit”

Then goto the following address.

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/CLSID/{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E},

Now change the name "Recycle bin" to anything you want.

To Remove Recycle Bin- Click Start- Run- then type “regedit”

Then goto the following address.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/explorer/Desktop/NameSpace > HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/CLSID/{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}

Click on the "Recycle Bin" string in the right hand pane. Press Delete key from keyboard. Then OK.
